These off the shelf orthotics can be helpful for getting you over acute symptoms with foot injuries like plantar fasciitis. They are best used in the short term and when symptoms first start.
Tuli's Heel Cups
These cushioned heel cups can be helpful for reducing heel pain in individuals with pin point plantar fascia pain at the inside of their heel, or who have a bruised feeling at the bottom of their heel the longer they stand.
These are probably my favorite shoes to recommend for daily footwear for improving foot health. These shoes can also be good for some individuals with knee injuries. They have just enough cushion in them, they are roomy in the toe box and are zero drop. All of these features about the shoe help the foot work more optimally. If you have a history of having forefoot injuries check out the Xero trail shoes as these have a stiffer foot plate and will help reduce stresses to this area of the foot.
Vivobarefoot Shoes & NorthSole inserts
I love wearing Vivobarefoot shoes to work mostly because they have a ton of room in the toe box and you really feel connected to the ground in them. If you do a lot of standing in one place on hard surfaces, or walk a lot throughout the day you may consider pairing these shoes with NorthSole cushioned inserts that are designed to fit inside wide toe box shoes. This extra cushion can be helpful for reducing soreness in your feet you may get from wearing minimal shoes for longer periods of time on hard surfaces. The inserts can also help with getting you used to a more minimal shoe if you are used to wearing traditional highly cushioned footwear.
Lems is another great shoe for daily footwear. Lems have just enough cushion and have plenty of toe box room along with several zero drop options.
Birchbury Men's Dress Shoes
For those that need to wear dress shoes Birchbury shoes can be a great option. It can be really hard to find a nice dress shoe with a roomy toe box. This brand of men’s dress shoes has got covered though!
